An Immensely Intimate Castle Wedding Inspired by the Beauty of Ireland: Dani & Meisha

This small celebration was huge on style!

From Utah to Wexford! US real wedding couple Dani and Meisha celebrated their forever kind of love with an immensely intimate castle celebration in the lush Wexford countryside. Based in Salt Lake City, the couple's destination wedding at Wilton Castle was inspired by the natural beauty of Ireland with a striking forest green palette and a focus on minimalistic and elegant decor. With 12 of their favourite people, the couple made memories to last a lifetime as you're just about to witness with the beautifully lensed photos by Ian Hennessy Photography.

Love blossomed for Dani and Meisha in work where they worked in different departments. "She was just across the way, but there was an inexplicable pull that drew me towards her. Our connection sparked when she commented on a Facebook post about a women's soccer player retiring. I seized the opportunity to respond, and from that moment, our journey together began."

Dani and Meisha proposed to each other in seriously romantic style in France. "Our first international trip to Paris was a dream come true. We had booked a professional photographer to capture the magic, and since family wasn't there, we thought it would be a perfect moment to propose during the photoshoot, ensuring we had pictures to share with them later. I proposed along the Seine River with the Eiffel Tower as our backdrop, creating an unforgettable scene. Later in the trip, we soared over the French countryside in a hot air balloon, where Meisha also proposed, making the journey even more special."

The brides wowed us with their jewel tone ensembles as they wore matching forest green suits and floral ties - with Meisha slipping into a pair of custom Chuck Taylor All Star Converse.

Big smiles and the happiest tears! A first look is great for the couple who want to skip the big reveal at the altar, and instead opt for a private moment before the ceremony.

Their top priority for their castle wedding was to live every single moment with their closest family and friends. "We envisioned something unforgettable, a day that would be etched in our memories forever. By choosing a castle in Ireland, we not only created a magical setting for our special day but also provided our loved ones with the opportunity to explore a new country. It was important to us that our wedding felt intimate and meaningful, surrounded by those who mean the most to us, while also offering an adventure for everyone involved."

Situated on the banks of the River Boro, the 13th-century castle hotel certainly had the magical wow factor for their joyful day.

"We chose forest green as the main colour to blend seamlessly with the lush surroundings, creating a minimalistic yet enchanting atmosphere that highlighted the special moment and the stunning venue," they explain.

Their breathtaking celebration at the regal Enniscorthy wedding venue included a romantic woodland photoshoot.

The foliage-heavy bridal bouquet was given a splash of elegance with white rose accent blooms.

It was the stunning scenery that cemented Wilton Castle as the wedding venue of their dreams. "The attached ruins, where our ceremony took place, added a touch of historical charm and significance."

There are so many beautiful ceremony rituals to choose from the couple opted to do a handfasting ritual.

Another reason they loved the castle hotel was the "spaciousness that allowed everyone to relax and be fully present for our special day." They went for simpler styling to allow all their treasured moments and the natural beauty of the venue to truly shine.

The atmosphere was fairytale-esque, they reveal. "The enchanting setting of Wilton Castle, with its breathtaking views and historic charm, provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Having those closest to us there to share this special day filled it with love and joy. The intimate and relaxed environment allowed us to connect deeply with our guests, making every moment memorable and meaningful."

The couple held their reception outdoors and the table styling included a lush foliage table runner with delicate bursts of baby's breath.

The newlyweds and their guests sipped and toasted with delicious and vibrant strawberry margarita and blueberry mule cocktails. "Since we couldn't have our three beloved dogs physically at our destination wedding, we found a special way to incorporate them into our day. We named signature drinks at the open bar after each of them, complete with a framed picture of them, ensuring they were a part of our celebration in spirit."

Their top wedding planning tip? Remember to focus on those you truly want to share your special day with. "This day is unique and meant to be cherished, so take the time to make it special for yourselves and your loved ones. Despite the inevitable stresses of wedding planning, when the day arrives, there's nothing quite like being surrounded by those who genuinely celebrate your happiness. While our wedding felt like a fairytale at Wilton Castle, we believe that regardless of the venue or other details, it's the presence of cherished friends and family that truly elevates the day and makes it unforgettable."

Their outdoor reception included the cutting of their elegant naked wedding cake and their gorgeous first dance to Ruelle's I Get to Love You.

"Our favourite moments of music during our wedding were undoubtedly our first dance, along with the touching father-daughter and mother-daughter dances," they share. Dani reflects, "Despite not being a big dancer, I found myself swept away in the surreal experience of those moments, fully present and deeply moved by the significance of the occasion."

For their honeymoon they went on a romantic boat cruise through Amsterdam and ending in Basel, Switzerland. "We would highly recommend to others. It offered us the chance to explore multiple countries without the hassle of packing and unpacking, all while enjoying luxurious accommodations and impeccable service from the incredible staff. The experience was so unforgettable that we embarked on another river cruise the following year, this time with family."

Dani and Meisha, congratulations from all of us on the One Fab Day team! A very special thanks to Ian Hennessy Photography for sharing today's majestic Wilton Castle wedding.
