Hillmount House is located in Drains Bay, near Larne in Co. Antrim. This privately owned Georgian house, complete with coach-house, courtyard and fully furnished barn with stunning sea-view gardens, a woodland meadow, orchard and formal garden offers a truly unique space for your wedding day.

As an owner-operated team, Andrew and Simon offer a professional and personalised service with a down-to-earth approach making your event planning seamless and memorable for all the right reasons.

Hillmount House has been lovingly refurbished, renovated and replanted to create an exclusive country house venue. With Andrew’s background in interior design, the stylish interior finishes are sophisticated and elegant, but also comfortable and relaxing. The friendly welcome will make you and your guests feel instantly at home.

The renovated Georgian coach house with open courtyard and upstairs terrace provides the perfect space for your drinks reception while 'The Barn' in the grounds can accommodate up to 140 people for dinner, wedding ceremony or entertaining your guests. The main house sleeps up to 10, with 5 double / twin bedrooms, three bathrooms as well as a large kitchen / dining room, drawing room, cosy living room and formal dining room which are available for exclusive serviced hire. 

There is also private car-parking on-site.

My husband and I were married at Hillmount House. We went to the first open day where Darren and I could not help but fall in love with everything about it so much so we were the first ones to book there and then as we knew we had uncovered a hidden gem! From the luxurious elegance of the house to the character and charm of the barn through to the courtyard which all of our guests were blown away by. Andrew and Simon are truly amazing host in every way, there are not enough kind words to describe how wonderful they are, they made my family and I feel right at home when we arrived to a beautiful afternoon tea in the sun in the courtyard, while I had arranged for a masseuse to come to the house and massage the ladies. Followed by supper with the guys in the evening all was absolutely delicious hearty home cooked food along with the breakfast.Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. We are looking forward to going back for the opening of the orangery. If you are looking for a bespoke breathtaking venue then we cannot recommend Hillmount House enough!

My daughter had her wedding here on 23rd June , it is almost impossible to stress too highly of Hillmount house! The house, barn ,is totally amazing, Andrew, and Simon, 2 of the most hospitable people I ever met, the wedding was stress free, the food fabulous, and accommodation of the highest standard, I didn't want to leave ! We all felt that we have made new friends, fabulous hosts, nothing was too much bother, also the wonderful Brenda who attended to our every need, going so far as to make oven soda for the Scottish groom! Thank you all so much, all you future brides, you must go visit Hillmount house, you will not be disappointed 5 stars not enough.

We celebrated our wedding yesterday and all we can say is WOW!!! Andrew and Simon did all they possibly could to make our day memorable, and they succeeded way above our expectations.
