Quinta da Conceição

Where: Located near Azeitão 30 minutes south of Lisbon airport, 15 minutes from Setubal and Sesimbra and close to the Arrabida Nature Park and the Costa Azul.

The Venue: Quinta da Conceição historic country retreat is a genuine hidden gem, and you can have the whole estate exlusively to yourself and your guests. Set in a private rural estate, the fully restored 1715 baroque manor house is a dream wedding, with grand living spaces filled with exquisite period decor, glorious gardens for a dream outdoor ceremony set up and a magnificent swimming pool.

Quinta De Sant’Ana

Where: Nestled in rolling vineyards between the beautiful Atlantic coastline and 30 minutes from the vibrant buzz of Lisbon, the country estate of Quinta de Sant’Ana is a place to experience authentic Portugal.

The Venue: A family-run wine estate, of which dates back to 1633, the team are as dedicated to hosting beautiful weddings as they are to creating their delicious wines. Think stone staircases and the light reflecting off whitewashes walls, a Baroque chapel with a bell tower and wedding portraits amongst the vines or the eucalyptus forests.

In front of the brightly coloured main house, patios and terraces are shaded by mature trees, perfect for your drinks receptions under lush vine clad pergolas, while bright bougainvilleas give it a Mediterranean feel. Quinta da Bichinha

Where: Located an hour's drive from Lisbon, Quinta da Bichinha is a centuries old wine estate reimagined as a wedding venue. Just 50 minutes from Lisbon Airport.

The Venue: In 2003 the ancient cellars of the Quinta were refurbished into a cozy and unique space, encircled by gardens and extensive vineyards, including a children's playground and a charming lake surrounded by vineyards for a memorable photographic session. Sintra Marmóris Palace

Where: Near the historic town of Sintra, just 30 km from Lisbon, it has amazing views of the castles and national parks that Sintra is famous for.

Forte Da Cruz

Where: A superb historical villa with a breathtaking views located on Tamariz Beach in Estoril, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Less than 30 minutes from Lisbon Airport.

The Venue: This wonderful fortress venue was built in the 17th century to protect the coastline, but has since been restored and is now used for events. Quinta Das Pintoras

Where: Located in the Beato/Marvila district in east Lisbon along the banks of the Tagus River, an area which has become a creative, cultural and tech hub, thanks to the gentification and regeneration of the area in the last few years. Often compared to New York’s meatpacking district and the London East End!

The Venue: A veritable magic garden in the centre of Lisbon, Quinta das Pintoras is a private home that has been in the same family for 100 years. The house has three large rooms with many different charming spaces to entertain guests. Outside there's also a greenhouse space with capacity for 80 people too! Quinta Do Torneiro

Where: Located in Oeiras, Quinta Do Torneiro is situated in a historical area just 20 minutes from Lisbon Airport and 20 minutes from Lisbon, Cascais, and Sintra.

Monserrate Palace

Where: The Monserrate Palace and Park is located 4kms from Sintra's stunning historic centre, approximately 45 minutes from Lisbon and less than 30 minutes from Lisbon Airport.

The Venue: How about saying your I dos in a Unesco World Heritage Site? We thought that might grab your attention. The Monserrate Palace and Park, is one of the most important examples of Romantic architecture in all of Portugal, while the famous Botanical Gardens boasts plant species from all over the world thanks to its special microclimate so it doesn't get more special for wedding venues near Lisbon.

You can wander along the paths through ruins, recesses, lakes and waterfalls, as the plants are organised by geographical origin, and all of which add an exotic touch to the grounds. Decor-wise, Monserrate Palace enjoys Medieval and Eastern influences making it the most incredible spot for a fairytale wedding. As it's a protected building there is a lot of paperwork to get married here, but it would be totally worth it.

Palácio da Bacalhôa

Where: A 15th-century estate and palace located in Azeitão, 30kms south of Lisbon, in the Península de Setúbal wine region.

The Venue: A beautiful 14th century manor house with several function rooms embellished with rare antique tiles, high ceiling, a labyrinthine garden, vineyards and an amazing lake house. Classified as a National Monument, weddings here feel like a dream especially the view of the fields at sunset.

Casa dos Penedos

Where: Casa dos Penedos is a five-star 20th-century villa and castle designed by architect Raul Lino, located in the hills of Sintra, about 30 minutes outside of Lisbon.

The Venue: Perched imposingly in the hillsides of Sintra, this picture-perfect pink manor house was built in 1921 and features ornate architecture, four ballrooms, and stunning outdoor spaces and terraces with 180-degree views of the valley below.
