Pour Wedding Cakes
Looking for a fresh twist on the traditional cake cutting? Enter the wedding cake pour — the latest wedding trend that's as delicious as it is dramatic. This new interactive cake idea is becoming a favourite for couples — and it’s easy to see why. They’re incredibly Insta-worthy — the slow, elegant pour over a beautiful cake makes for a visually striking and viral video moment.
It’s also an interactive and personal twist on the traditional cake cutting, and the pour itself adds visual drama, creating a stunning cascade effect. Best of all, it’s highly customisable — you can choose flavours and colours that perfectly complement your cake, like custard, chocolate ganache, caramel sauce - the possibilities are endless! Cork Has A New Perfume Destination
A unique luxury perfume store has opened its doors in the Winthrop Arcade in Cork city centre. Republic of Oud is a new destination for perfume lovers in Munster who are fond of wearing something a little different. Founded by Cork native Alan Coakley, the store is a treasure trove of high-end scents for men and women to delight even the most discerning perfume aficionado.
Alan spent two decades in countries like the UAE, Oman, Iraq, Bahrain, and Qatar, immersing himself in the scent and culture of oud, a precious and sexy resin native to the region and derived from the Aquilaria Tree. The store carries several gorgeous fragrance lines, including Arabian Oud, Ajmal, Areej Le Doré, Monreale, Kajal Perfumes Paris, and Sora Dora.

Bridesmaids in Neck Scarves
In a graceful nod to vintage elegance - think Grace Kelly - neckscarves are making a sophisticated comeback for bridesmaids. Many brides have opted for a necksarf to complete their own look, but now bridal parties are embracing silky, delicately tied neck scarves as a simple statement accessory that works really well for garden parties or chic city celebrations.
Whether draped hanging backwards loosely over the shoulders or knotted neatly at the neck, these luxe accents elevate even the simplest gowns effortlessly and make it easy to change up the look for the reception. Soft chiffon and satin scarves work so well with muted palettes like blush, dove grey, and champagne, and sorbet shades, so check out brands like Six Stories for dresses with matching silk scarves included.

Honeymoon Hydration Heroes
It's been more than a decade since Kildare brand Pestle & Mortar launched its iconic Pure Hyaluronic Serum, and it's a hydration hero we recommend to brides and grooms ahead of the big day. Now, the brand has launched biodegradable sheet masks with a concentrated dose of its much-loved serum along with collagen and ceramides in a handy, travel-friendly pack of three, €19.
Another new addition that is ideal for honeymoon is the Hyaluronic Hydrogel Eye Patches for fast hydration in the delicate under-eye area, €34 for 30 pairs. In comparison to other brands, these are great value, and perfect for a long-haul flight. Get both at pestleandmortar.com or at its flagship store in Kildare Village, or other retailers.

In an age of digital perfection, couples are turning to 35mm film to capture the soul of their wedding day with a touch of vintage flair that gives a completely different feel to digital. This nostalgic medium offers soft grain, rich tones, and an authenticity that feels utterly romantic.
From sun-drenched vineyards to candlelit ballrooms, 35mm film transforms golden hour kisses into a story with texture, depth, and charm.
