It's official! "Mocha Mousse" is the The Pantone Colour of the Year for 2025.
Each year, guardians of all things colour, Pantone, declare a particular colour their "Pantone Colour of the Year", a hue that fashion, interior, beauty, product designers and wedding industry professionals use to help guide their design decisions and this year, Pantone has announced Mocha Mousse as the Colour of the Year 2025. "Sophisticated and lush, yet at the same time an unpretentious classic, PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse extends our perceptions of the browns from being humble and grounded to embrace aspirational and luxe," Pantone writes on the announcement.Â
A chic, brown-grey shade with serious style, this new warm, light and silky shade of brown is a result of almost a year’s worth of research and trend forecasting from the Pantone Colour Institute, which begins looking at colour trends in the late spring. Luckily for us, this hue has been a popular choice at weddings for quite some time now!
From floral arrangements and cake, to stationery and bridesmaid dresses, there's no end to the potential Mocha Mousse wedding inclusions for 2025 and 2026 celebrations. So, if you’re still trying to pick your wedding colours, read on to see if this new coffee-toned hue is the one for you!Â
