Wholesome Elegance and Spectacular 'Something Blue' Styling: Aisling & Niall

"It will forever be the happiest weekend of our lives."

A luxurious Palladian manor set the stage for this modern and magical real wedding. Dublin-based couple Aisling and Niall tied the knot at the lavish Cashel Palace Hotel in Co. Tipperary and 195 of their loved ones got a front-row seat to all the splendour of their absolutely superb spring celebration. Their celebration had the sweetest 'something blue' palette that informed every element of their styling from their beautiful stationery to their epically chic wedding car.

The style exuded exquisite and effortless elegance, with top tailoring from Louis Copeland & Sons and a fairytale bridal gown by Lihi Hod. Their May wedding was not only a celebration of their union but it was love letter to their nearest and dearest. We know you will swoon over every magical tribute to their family and friends, from the bride's secret tribute to her grandfather in her breathtaking bouquet to their sweet favours. Captured beautifully by Dasha Caffrey, be ready to be swept off your feet!

"We grew up in each other’s circles, same locale and group of friends," Aisling tells us. "One short conversation on Facebook Messenger in 2012 which ended with Niall saying, ‘Marry Me!’ in jest and me replying, ‘Sure!’ was all we had ever spoken." The stars aligned many years later when Niall returned from a two-year work stint in New York city and Aisling had flown home from Australia where she had been for a year. They matched on the dating app Hinge and a few dates later Aisling knew she had met the love of her life.

Both originally from Dublin and living there today, they got engaged on a "sneaky (or not so sneaky) trip" to Sheen Falls Lodge in Killarney on the 19th August 2023. Niall popped the question while they were on a walk in the rare hour of glorious weather during Storm Betty.

Aisling wowed in the corsetted Magnolia gown by Lihi Hod which is adorned with delicate floral appliqued lace. She sourced the dress of her dreams at Browns Bride in London and she wore something blue heels, the iconic Hangisi pumps by Manolo Blahnik. Her mother lent her sparkling earrings that matched the flowers on her dress and she wore her grandmother's eternity ring which "fit like a glove". "My veil and my long bridal gloves for the first dance being made by my sister in law, Ailva, was beyond special," she adds.

Her bouquet included hydrangeas, delphinium, eucalyptus and thistles representing resilience and the sweetest addition, a rose from her grandfather’s rose bush.

Pale blue permeated through this sensationally stylish spring wedding, from the beautiful mass booklets by The Ivory Feather to the flowers by Frog Prince, to the bridesmaids in satin gowns and their vintage Mercedes Benz 300SL Roadster wedding car which belonged to a family friend. "I loved my blue theme. We even had blue flipflops. Having the colour theme made at least some of the decisions at lot easer!"

The couple exchanged vows at St John the Baptist Church in Cashel.

Aisling walked down the aisle arm in arm with her father as her younger brother Harry played Clair de Lune. "It is one of the most precious memories I will ever have," she reflects.

Their ceremony was full to the brim with heartfelt moments. "Our priest, Fr. Enda, was amazing and the mass was easy-going, full of happiness and laughter from start to finish."

The bride planned and coordinated the celebration alongside Ciara Power Events. "Family and friends, fun and happiness, escape from reality, togetherness, music," were their priorities. "Niall and I already knew how lucky we were to be embarking on the best journey of all – a life together, so we wanted to share that happiness and show our gratitude and focus on everyone who shaped who we are today."

Niall's superb tux was from Louis Copeland & Sons which he accessorised with an Eton shirt, a satin bowtie from M&S, Magnanni patent brogues also from Louis Copeland, and a Longines watch.

A moment for the sensational wedding party style. The mother of the bride wore Emilia Wickstead and the mother of the groom donned a creation from Texture by Ann Flavin and they looked absolutely spellbinding! The father of the bride and groom exuded timeless elegance wearing Louis Copeland tuxes.

The bridesmaids looked fabulous in icy blue gowns by Six Stories which they accessorised with matching bags from the brand, silver shoes by Linzi and bracelets by APM Monaco.

They fell head over heels for the architecture and the exquisite décor of the venue, they loved the intimate boutique feel and how it was set in the quaint town of Cashel.

Lush blooms in the ornate ballroom, their reception styling was refined, timeless and utterly spectacular. "The ballroom is spacious, bright and airy - absolute perfection during a sunny summer’s day. The gardens, with a view of the Rock of Cashel would steal anyone’s heart. (Side note - I’m also a massive lover of horses and France and you can’t help but feel these throughout the hotel)."

She sheds more light on the atmosphere of their wedding weekend, "It was honestly a time beyond our wildest dreams, think a dream come true and then think even better – the fairytale of all of my fairytales. It will forever be the happiest weekend of our lives. The weekend was full of wholesome elegance, crazy laughter and crazy fun, nervous butterflies quietened by the close-knit familial feels that met you at every corner, love and smiles all around, absolute bliss and sentiment galore."

Their vintage-inspired buttercream Lambeth wedding cake covered in elegant swags was jaw-droppingly chic.

It was the team at Cashel Palace that made their venue 'the one'. "Everyone is so kind and warm, attentive in the perfect way and honestly made us feel like family. It truly was the staff that made the decision for us. We knew this team could make us and all of our guests feel at home and whisk them away to the luxurious yet wholesome dream of ours. They are a ‘one in a million’ team, and we will forever feel lucky to have been married with Linda, Adrian, Collette, Patrick and the whole crew by our sides in their perfect palace."

Happy tears and belly laughter, their wedding favours were personalised handwritten notes which doubled up as place settings.

They chose Be My Baby by The Ronettes as their first dance song. "It was the perfect song for us. Choreographed from a YouTube video!"

Their reception included a stunning sparkler photo and thrilling entertainment from Jo Petit and the Dream Band which included a jazz trio and then a full band that had the dancefloor packed.

Of course we were going to ask the bride for her top planning tips. "Brides, if you think it’s worth it – it is definitely worth it! Wear a watch on the day – knowing the time is so grounding in this other worldly experience! Escape with your new spouse every so often – our photographer Dasha, and our videographer, Kevin, were brilliant for helping us take these little getaways. These moments make the dream a reality. Lap up all the feels for as long as you can! Look at your wedding album with a glass of champagne, watch the video with loved ones, eat your cake on your first year anniversary!"

The newlyweds kept the celebrations going by jetting off to Italy!

A massive thank you to Aisling and Niall for sharing their special day with One Fab Day and a huge thanks also to Dasha Caffrey Photography for the dreamy images. See even more pictures in the gallery below.
