Sensational spring wedding inspiration incoming! Our real wedding couple Celene and Jonathan tied knot at their best man's family home, the boutique Georgian barn venue The Old Bushmills Barn which has a fascinating history. It was a truly romantic location for their garden ceremony and marquee reception, all of which they planned and styled superbly themselves. The celebration was as timeless as it comes including a breathtaking Pronovias wedding dress, bridesmaids in sage, fabric signage, beautiful bows, and all-white bouquets. You can feel the love and happiness pour from their wedding album images captured by Francis Meaney. Enjoy!

Celene and Jonathan are both from Belfast and they were in the same year at school. Despite having known each other for years and having seen each other at plenty of discos it wasn’t until years later that they went on their first date to the beach at Helen’s Bay.

Their engagement was a beautiful full-circle moment as Jonathan took Celene back to Helen’s Bay on Christmas morning to propose to her. "It was very special and thoughtful," she reflects. They are based in East Belfast.

Their outdoor ceremony was as dreamy as can be with linen fabric signage and sweet satin bows included in the styling. Whimsical arrangements of flowers including hydrangeas, baby's breath and amaranthus were held in vases on tall pillars.

They wanted a celebration that was elegant and tasteful but casual all in one. She tells us, "I wanted my guests to feel relaxed and have the best time ever!"

Their guests pulled out all the style stops for the romantic spring fete.

Sublime in satin. The bridesmaids wore green bridesmaids dresses from Six Stories with mix and match necklines which they accessorised with gold shoes from ASOS.

Celene's dream wedding dress was the Pheobe gown by Pronovias. The mermaid fit gown boasts a plunging sweetheart neckline and is adorned with dainty 3D flowers and a soft hint of sparkle. She accessorised with pearl and crystal embellished mesh nude heels by Sam Edelman and a stunning veil.

The couple have stayed at best man Jasper’s family home many times which is located in the historical town of Bushmills, on the grounds of The Old Rectory. The Georgian barn dates back to 1745 and it has been completely restored completely restored into self-catering accommodation that blends modern luxury and old Irish charm. They had always admired the beautiful setting and picturesque gardens and when he began hosting elopements and small weddings they knew it was the perfect place to hold their celebration.

Joined by 100 of their nearest and dearest on a beautiful day in the May, the couple tied the knot in the storybook pretty boxed hedge garden.

Being surrounded by their loved ones on their happiest day made the celebration feel like a dream, "Having all the people you love the most in the one place celebrating and having fun is the best feeling in the world."

They opted to keep the ceremony short so they could "skip to the fun part quicker".

Pinterest was Celene's best friend when it came to curating their wedding aesthetic. "I scanned through wedding photography and made a board of the ones that felt the most like my style." They styled the celebration themselves with decor purchased from The Range.

Celene's all-white bouquet was created by a family friend who is retired which was combined with faux flowers she had picked from The Range. It comprised of ruffled blooms such as carnations and peonies and exuded effortless elegance.

How precious are the pictures of the newlyweds with their son who was adorably dressed in a shirt and chinos.

Cello, cocktails and champagne, their drinks reception was an immensely chic affair.

"Planning a marquee wedding myself was challenging in terms of coordinating all of the suppliers and thinking of all of the logistics on the day," she shares. "So all I wanted was for it to go off without a hitch, which thankfully it did!"

Murder of the Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis-Bextor was their first dance song and it got the party started. "My favourite music was literally any song the DJ's played. They were unbelievable and had everyone on the dancefloor all night."

Their cake was created by a family friend and they opted for shots for wedding favours.

They have an excellent wedding planning tip, set up a detailed excel sheet! "Include your guests, meal selections, table plans, costs/budgets, suppliers etc etc it will keep you sane when things get stressful!"

As their son is still so young their honeymoon is still on the horizon. "We took him to Spain the week after the wedding but we will definitely celebrate as a couple in 2026!"
