Surrounded by soft blooms and gentle warmth of spring, Jayde & Philip celebrated their love in a truly enchanting setting at Drenagh Estate in Northern Ireland. The couple exchanged heartfelt vows in the estate’s magical Moon Garden ceremony space, with 100 guests witnessing the intimate moment, before continuing the celebrations in a beautifully adorned marquee where a further 50 friends and family joined them for the evenings festivities. Every detail of their Drenagh Estate wedding day, from the delicate pastel spring wedding palette to the thoughtful personal touches, was captured perfectly by the talented Lynn Wortley, creating memories that the couple will treasure forever.

For Jayde & Philip, home has always been at the heart of their story. Both originally from Cookstown and now happily settled in their first home together in the town, their journey to “I do” has been more than a decade in the making.

The pair first crossed paths almost eleven years ago on a night out. As Jayde recalls, “I was really good friends with Philip's cousin and we met really because of her. The rest is history!” From that chance introduction, a lasting love grew.

Fast forward to August 2023, when Philip planned a surprise while the couple were holidaying in the Cotswolds. Jayde shares, “Philip proposed when we were on holiday in the Cotswolds. It was very low key and intimate, we kept it to ourselves until we came home from holiday for almost a week. It was so special just soaking in the excitement together before coming home to surprise our family and friends!”.

Once engaged, the pair set about planning a spring wedding for April 2025. From the very beginning, they knew exactly what mattered most. “Priorities from the beginning was a venue that had a really good reputation for providing excellent food, with both of our families being from farming backgrounds it is always so important that everyone is well fed. As well as this we wanted somewhere with a good space for a ceremony onsite. Music and entertainment was also something that felt really important to us, to set the atmosphere from early on in the day,” Jayde explains.

For Philip and Jayde, the choice of venue made everything come together. The couple settled on Drenagh Estate, the perfect spot for their relaxed, heartfelt celebration. Nestled within a historic 1,000-acre estate, Drenagh is a Grade A listed house surrounded by beautiful private grounds.

When asked what made Drenagh Estate 'the one' for them, Philip and Jayde didn’t hesitate. “Drenagh was the first and only venue we visited. It ticked every single box we had and we walked away from the open day knowing that we didn't need to go anywhere else,” they say. “The staff made us feel so welcome, provided us with excellent food, and the venue and grounds of Drenagh itself were breathtaking. The ceremony space of the Moon Garden, being outdoors but with a canopy, made it really appealing for contending with NI weather as well.”

When it came to planning the look and feel of their day, Jayde says it all started with her dress. “To be honest, I would say when I picked my wedding dress, what we wanted for the aesthetic of the day just fell into place. From then I just felt the wedding needed to be romantic, elegant and regent. With it being springtime, it felt right to have pops of pastel colours throughout, from our wedding stationery, flowers and bridesmaid dresses, to the colours of Drenagh's interior.”

Jayde looked effortlessly romantic on her big day, wearing a gown by Alena Leena from Ivy and White boutique in Belfast. Her ensemble was complemented by delicate earrings from Oliver Bonas, a sentimental bracelet gifted to her, and the soft, floral scent of Jo Malone’s Poppy & Barley. On her feet she wore elegant Be Mine shoes from ASOS, completing a bridal look that was both timeless and perfectly in keeping with the romantic, pastel-themed aesthetic of the wedding.

Jayde’s bridesmaids complemented the romantic, springtime palette beautifully, wearing soft blush bridesmaid dresses that perfectly matched the wedding’s elegant aesthetic. The gowns were by Anne Louise Boutique, thoughtfully altered by Ellen Lambert Designs, and paired with chic Zara heels.

Philip and his groomsmen looked dapper in tailored suits by Freddie Hatchett, Cookstown. Philip completed his look with a sleek Fossil watch and Valentino cologne.

On 21st April 2025, Philip and Jayde said “I do” in Drenagh’s magical Moon Garden ceremony space. The outdoor setting, complete with a canopy, provided the perfect backdrop for their intimate and memorable vows.

Arm in arm with her dad, Jayde made her entrance — which was one of her most memorable moments of the day. “My favourite piece of music was Canon in D, played by Bella Caves Music — just because of how it felt walking down the aisle with my Dad, hearing it, looking around and seeing all of our family and friends, and the moment of seeing each other at the altar for the first time,” she shares.

Philip and Jayde describe their wedding as “calm and easy flowing. Our hope was that the wedding felt laid back but traditional in elements that were important to us, which I think we achieved. More than anything, what was important was that we spent the day surrounded by all those closest to us. Our intention for the overall look/theme of the day was that it felt elegant, delicate and romantic.”

Philip and Jayde’s wedding was filled with elegant, personal touches in a soft pastel palette, perfectly reflecting their romantic, delicate, and refined springtime theme.

For Philip and Jayde, what made the day really special were the personal moments shared with those closest to them. “Exchanging gifts with my bridesmaids and Mum on the morning of the wedding was so special, and of course reading the cards that Philip and I had written for each other was emotional but such a lovely moment before we got married,” Jayde recalls.

They also made sure that every reading throughout the day, along with the pre-dinner grace, was carried out by loved ones, ensuring the celebration reflected their personalities and relationships.

Philip and Jayde also credit the Drenagh team for making their day truly personal. “The staff in Drenagh made it such a personal day, both in the run-up to the wedding and on the day, in particular Aga, Gareth and Brian. We were told in the morning to ‘treat Drenagh like your home’ whilst you are here, and that is exactly what we did. Everything we asked of the guys there was done without hesitation and it meant so much,” they share.

Philip and Jayde are also full of praise for their photographer, Lynn. “Special mention to our lovely photographer Lyn, who was an angel on the day and really helped keep the day on schedule whilst helping us feel so relaxed throughout the day. Having now got our full wedding album back, reliving the special moments she captured has been amazing — pictures we will treasure forever,” they share.

Filled with romantic, pretty details and a soft pastel palette, Philip and Jayde’s wedding was a picture of elegance. Their stationery, crafted by Shannon Louise, set the tone with subtle, elegant designs. The flowers, by Willow + Twine, were a dreamy mix of ivory, soft blush, cream, and peach, enhancing the day’s romantic and delicate aesthetic. The cake, by Heavenly Treats, was an all-white masterpiece adorned with bows and pearls, echoing the elegance and understated glamour of the wedding.

Guests were also treated to unique wedding favours — live illustrations of themselves by Pencil and Paint adding a playful yet personal element to the celebration, perfectly in keeping with the couple’s thoughtful and intimate approach to the day.

For their first dance, Philip and Jayde chose a romantic classic: Ricky Lorimer’s version of Bryan Adams’ Heaven.

Philip and Jayde’s advice for other couples planning their wedding is simple but heartfelt: “Enjoy the process, don't sweat the small stuff — no one else will notice — and do not lose sight of, or forget, that the most important part of the day is marrying each other. Everything else is just a bonus.”

Philip and Jayde are planning to celebrate their first adventure as a married couple in Mallorca soon, and are looking forward to some well-earned relaxation after their beautiful spring wedding.
