Today's real wedding takes us to the lush surrounds of Zarembų (Tautvydas) Manor in Lithuania for a celebration that offers a magical blend of modern elegance and timeless charm. Based in the UK, Orūnė and George took a very hands-on approach to planning their celebration in the bride's home country, together they found they were the best people to bring their vision to life.
The aesthetic was inspired by their love of nature with a soft green and white palette, the vibe was romantic yet fresh. Photographed beautifully by Jurgita Lukos, their special day included sophisticated style, modern florals with waxy anthurium at the fore, a glorious outdoor ceremony, a feather and pearl-dappled second wedding dress and an absolutely dazzling champagne tower. We really can't stress this enough, prepare to be seriously inspired!

Orūnė is from Kaunas in Lithuania while George is from Coventry in England which is where they live today. They met at a restaurant and they instantly knew they had something special. As for their proposal, George took Orūnė on a trip to Barbados, and she had absolutely no idea what he had planned! "While staying at the Fairmont, he mentioned they were heading to a 'party' for guests, something he seemed unusually excited about. But on the way there, he suddenly detoured into a small, private garden where a beautifully set table was waiting. He sat her down… and proposed. It was intimate, emotional, and completely unexpected! And yes, lots of happy tears were shared that night."

They wanted their wedding to feel like a celebration that truly reflected them. They threw themselves into the planning process, Orūnė even designed their wedding invitations herself. "We wanted the day to be unforgettable, not just for us, but for everyone there. Full of joy, love, and memories to last a lifetime. We even took care of the tiniest details like organising a translator to make sure our 'I dos' were not only heartfelt, but also legally binding!"

They held their ceremony outdoors with views of the picturesque gardens. The floral display was simply spectacular with white flowers such as hydrangeas, roses and anthurium blooming up tall brass pillars.

They cruised in style in a 1970 Cadillac DeVille, how chic!

Seeing each other at the aisle was one of the most memorable moments and having all their favourite people by their side as they celebrated made the experience unforgettable. "What made the day truly special was the people – our family, friends, and everyone who helped bring it all together."

The couple knew they had found their dream venue as soon as they arrived for their viewing. "We had visited a few venues, as you do, but the moment we saw Zarembų Manor, it felt right. The surroundings were absolutely magical, and the atmosphere had that 'something special' we couldn’t quite explain. One of the bigger bonuses was also the number of rooms available for our guests. It meant they could celebrate with us all night without worrying about where to sleep or when to leave. Everyone could let go, enjoy the moment, and truly be part of the celebration."

Bubbles right at the end of the aisle, what a perfect way to celebrate exchanging vows.

White tuxedos and dinner jackets offer a hint of old Hollywood glamour and George was so dapper in his suit from Aristocracy London.

Orūnė's bouquet included creamy anthurium, roses and eucalyptus.

Orūnė's bridal look is giving all the modern fairytale vibes including her Anna Sposa ballgown wedding dress with a ruched bodice, the prettiest pearl-dappled veil, statement sparkling earrings, and pearl heels by Harlo.

They shine more light on the vibe of their wedding, "It was a modern celebration in a fairytale setting, with classic details and a nature-inspired feel. The setting had a grand, classic feel, but we kept the vibe relaxed, joyful, and full of fun personal touches. We wanted everything to feel fresh, elegant, and connected to the outdoors, with lots of greenery, soft whites, and natural surroundings. We didn’t follow a strict theme, but we aimed for a relaxed yet timeless look that felt true to us and the setting. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and more."

After seeing their divine celebration, we were thrilled to hear Orūnė and George had loads of helpful advice to share with engaged couples. Plan ahead and do your research, they say. "It might feel like you’ve got all the time in the world, but trust us, the best venues, photographers, decorators, hosts, transport options etc get booked up early! Start early and create a realistic schedule for research and booking. You’ll thank yourselves later. If you’re planning the wedding yourselves like we did, take the time to research everything – from vendors to tiny details. It can be time consuming, but it gives you peace of mind and confidence in your decisions."

It's so important to stay true to yourself, they add. "There’s so much inspiration and advice out there, and it’s easy to get lost in someone else’s idea of a dream wedding. You’ll also hear plenty of opinions from people around you. Don’t feel pressured to change something you love just because it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. That said, keep an open mind, sometimes, the best ideas come from others when they feel right to both of you."

The bride and groom sourced their wedding favours themselves which included their favourite mini drinks (Freixenet sparkling wine and Jack Daniel's whiskey), delicious chocolates, honey jars, hear flower seeds, and mini candles.

Try not to stress about what you can’t control (like the weather!) and try to be as present as possible, they share. "Focus on what really matters: enjoying the day and being in the moment. People always say the day flies by. And it really does! Soak up every little moment, be present, and don’t stress the small stuff. It’s your day!"

They also stress the importance of hiring the right photographer and videographer. "When it’s all over, your photos and video will be what bring the memories flooding back. Find someone whose style speaks to you and who you trust to capture your day just the way you imagined. We were so lucky to work with Jurgita Lukos and SaraPro Media – their work takes us right back every time we look at it, and we’re so grateful for the moments they captured!"

"One of the highlights was our incredible wedding host, Andrius Sabaliauskas, who brought so much energy and made sure everyone felt included. Since we’re from two different parts of the world, not all of our guests spoke the same language, but somehow, thanks to him, that language barrier became almost invisible. It was amazing to see everyone laughing, dancing, and enjoying themselves together – no translation needed! We’d honestly recommend everyone planning a wedding to hire a host. It made such a big difference and brought the whole day to life."

It was a full-circle first dance song choice as they hit the dancefloor to Love Me Like You Do by Ellie Goulding. "The song is really special to us because the saxophonist was playing it for us the night we got engaged, so it felt like the perfect choice. We even took private dance lessons to make the moment extra special, and it was such a fun experience leading up to the big day."

Our jaws dropped instantly when we saw the bride's second dress adorned with glittering pearls and fiercely glam feathers which she accessories with matching gloves.

Adorned with an anthurium and rose and boasting a frayed edge, their white wedding cake served up modern minimalism magically.

They toasted to their happily ever after with a champagne glass pyramid complete with lighting and a smoke screen!

Orūnė and George had a magical honeymoon in the Maldives where they stayed at the luxurious Hilton Amingiri. "It was absolutely stunning! From the moment we arrived, it felt like everyone knew we were celebrating! The service was incredible, and we were treated so warmly the entire time. We’d definitely recommend it to couples who love clear, warm water, water sports, diving and a bit of luxury! It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure in the most beautiful setting."

Congratulations Orūnė and George we are in awe of your special day. A very special thank you to our fabulous couple and Jurgita Lukos for letting us dive into this dreamy destination wedding!
