Romance, style and joy. Today’s real wedding will sweep you off your feet! It was not only a breathtaking celebration of the love that Louise and Sean share but of their beautiful family as their adorable children Calvin and Farrah were the heart and soul of their special day. Our fabulous couple did things a little differently, creating a wedding day that felt like a celebration from the very start. With their reception held at The Dean in Dublin, the focus was on fun and full-blown energy and their celebration was centred around their most cherished people.
Planned exquisitely by the bride, their autumn wedding blended black-tie elegance with soft tones, touches of dreamlike tulle, baby’s breath and lilies, and playful touches aplenty - including disco ball décor! Absolutely timeless but bursting to the brim with the chicest contemporary touches, there are so many wonderful details to look forward to including a simple bridesmaid bouquet idea with huge impact and a vintage-style Lambeth buttercream wedding cake with a sweet romantic twist. Beautifully captured by Art Wedding Photography, this is your cue to have your Pinterest board firmly at the ready!

The couple live in Glasnevin in Dublin where they bought their home in 2020 and they have loved putting their stamp on it together. They met when Louise was 23 and Sean was 26 during a time in life that was all about spending weekends with friends and making memories. "One of our regular spots was the The Grafton Lounge in Dublin, and around then we’d started mixing with his group of friends too but I’d never laid eyes on him until one particular night. As soon as I saw him, that was it. I couldn’t stop thinking about him and in true girl fashion waited on him to make the first move, when he did, he was such a gent – it only made me like him more. We had our first date hit it off straight away and never looked back!"

Sean had a gorgeous surprise up his sleeve to pop the question. Louise says, "It was about five years into our relationship, Sean completely surprised me one Christmas by saying, 'Lets go away for New Years.' I was delighted – he booked the trip to Galway a place we both love, and I thought it was just going to be the two of us. But as the date got closer, I noticed my family joining in on the plan and then some of his family too! I just assumed we were all going to ring in the New Year together – a lovely family celebration."

While Sean was nervous and fidgety on the drive down, Louise didn’t think to much of it. "When we arrived, he had booked the most incredible suite: the penthouse! I remember just feeling so happy and grateful. That night, we had a dinner reservation in the hotel, and when we got there, he had arranged for all the family to be seated in a private part of the restaurant upstairs. I thought, 'Wow this is so thoughtful.' Then after our meal, he stood up to say a few words – and I noticed he was pulling awkwardly at his pocket. The ring box had got stuck! Eventually with it freed he got down on one knee. It was such a special moment – full of love, laughter and so much joy. We celebrated all night with both our families. It was perfect."

So dapper! Suave groom Sean wore a timeless black tux from Tangos Suit Hire which he accessorised with patent shoes and a Hugo boss watch which was a gift from Louise. Their son Calvin was suited and booted for his page boy duties in a mini me look also from Tangos Suit Hire.

Louise wanted her bridal look to be classic and striking all at once and it made our jaw drop. She wore a gown by Madi Lane Bridal with a fitted silhouette, a ruched bodice and soft draping on the skirt. She accessorised with pearl Jimmy Choo heels and Tiffany & Co. and Rosie and Dott accessories. She added an enchanting ethereal twist with her breathtaking tiered tulle bridal coat that was created by the dressmaker Cat Kiernan who she has been working with for years.

Her bridesmaids were bewitching in black gowns with mismatched necklines from Azazie, Club L London and Next.

Their daughter Farrah was cute as a button wearing a A-line dress with sweet puffed sleeves by Next and a whimsical baby's breath flower crown.

From the moment they started wedding planning they knew they wanted to do things a little differently, they wanted to make their celebration completely their own. "We knew we didn’t want a traditional sit-down wedding with a long wait for the party to begin - our priority was creating a day that felt like a celebration from the start. We wanted it to be fun, full of energy and centred around the people we love the most."

160 of their loved ones joined them for their superbly stylish soiree and the couple tied the knot at St Canice's Church in Finglas.

The transport on the day was through the father of the bride's friend who has provided cars for all of their family weddings, how sweet!

From their frothy tulle dresses to their baby's breath bag bouquets, Louise's nieces Grace, Freya and Evie looked absolutely darling as the mini bridesmaids.

One of Louise's most treasured moments was walking up the aisle with her father to the Irish ballad Grace which meant a lot to their family. "It was a beautiful moment with my dad that I will cherish forever."

The bride carried a bouquet of lilies and her bridesmaids had single stem bouquets, which is a simple wedding flower idea with huge impact that is blooming in popularity.

Rebecca Creighton performed their ceremony music and she worked with the couple to tailor their songs to make the service deeply personal. "She was an absolute pleasure to deal with. As we left the church she performed a medley of 90s dance classics that had everyone smiling."

When it came to the stationery, they opted to use paperless post for the invitations and Louise swears by it. "It was a really great decision we designed our invite online and emailed them to each guest, it was such an easy way to keep track of RSVPs and receive and send messages to and from guests."

Rather than picking a specific theme or trend, their wedding aesthetic was shaped by the feeling they wanted to evoke with their celebration - one of romance, style and undeniable celebration. "We were drawn to a look that felt timeless but modern, with soft tones, black-tie elegance, and playful touches that felt like us."

Louise's radiant and glam makeup was done by Theodora Kirolova and Jessica Hubbard created her elegant hairstyle.

The couple held their reception at The Dean in the heart of Dublin city and they knew it was 'the one' the moment they stepped into the Marshall Room. "The space was just stunning, and we instantly fell in love with it. It had the exact look and feel we were after: stylish, modern, the perfect backdrop for the kind of day we wanted."

The aesthetic was timeless with a cool, modern twist, the bride highlights. They opted for an elegant black-tie celebration which was softened with dreamlike tulle, sparkling disco balls, and romantic babys breath along with a whole host of thoughtful, personal touches.

Fantastic food was a huge priority for the couple. Instead of a three-course meal they had food served throughout the day in two sittings. "This allowed us to start the band from 5.30pm and it honestly set the tone for the whole night. The team at The Dean was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish we just knew we were in good hands. They were also more than happy to work with us on the more relaxed, celebration focused format we had in mind-including the food been served in a non-traditional way."

Entertainment was another key factor and The Beatty Brothers kickstarted the party with music also provided by drummer ConMÓR, Daddy Sax and DJ Niall Regan. "Each one of them brought so much life to the day. I could have not picked better entertainment. The room was full of joy and movement from the moment the music started. That was always the goal: a day that felt like us."

Having their children with them made their celebration absolutely unbeatable. "They were the heart of it all. Calvin is five and Farrah is two and from the beginning we knew the day wouldn’t be complete without them by our sides. It wasn’t just about us getting married; it was about the four of us, and the life we have built together. Seeing their little faces throughout the day and knowing they were a part of it made everything even more emotional and unforgettable."

Their photographer, Anna of Art Wedding Photography, and their content creator, Zoe of Zoe King Studios, captured every moment of magic as it unfolded with exquisite style. "They didn’t know each other before the wedding, but from the moment they arrived, they worked so seamlessly. The energy was relaxed and professional – no fuss, just easy and natural. Between Anna's stunning photography and Zoe's content we were left with a mix of still and video moments that perfectly captured the energy and feel of our wedding. The Instagram reels Zoe created give such a lovely behind the scenes look at the fun, the emotion, and the atmosphere."

Brides who want to transform their look for the after-party should take a chapter from Louise's book. She swapped her fairytale coat for dreamy diaphanous accessories, fingerless opera gloves and a sheer bridal neck scarf.

Louise advises engaged couples to do their day their way. "Don’t ever let anyone steer you from that, no matter what anyone else thinks. It is so easy to get caught up in expectations or traditions but this day is for you. I’ve heard so many people say that they look back and wish they’d done things differently, so I was really set on making sure we planned a day that felt true to us. Its one day – and it should reflect your style, your energy and what matters most to you. Trust yourself and stick to what you want – you won’t regret it. People are still telling us how much they loved the day, how different it felt and how much fun they had. That’s exactly what we wanted, and I am so glad we followed our gut."

Their heart-shaped vintage-inspired Lambeth buttercream wedding cake was adorned with a sweep of baby's breath. Swoon!

Their celebration also included neon signage, Fireball shots as wedding favours and a beautiful first dance to Finally by Cece Peniston.

The celebrations continued as Louise and Sean took their children to Disneyland just after the wedding, we can only imagine the excitement when the little ones found out where they were going. "We are still planning our trip and have a few places we would love to go, we have done a lot of travelling together over the years – but a relaxed break is definitely on the cards we are looking into Stella Island in Crete as this has been recommended a lot to us!"
