A Cliff At Lyons Wedding with Sublime 'Something Blue' Style: Hannah & Connor

The bride's shoes: SWOON!

Love the 'something blue' tradition? Today's real wedding in the storybook setting of Cliff At Lyons in Co. Kildare delivers oodles of fresh inspiration. Hannah and Connor celebrated the beginning of their forever with an intimate and elegant wedding that was brimming with love and laughter. Their dream day was brought to life thanks to so many of their wonderful family and friends, we know you'll be smiling from ear to ear when you see all the details.

From the phenomenal bridal style to the elegant decor, beautiful pops of blue permeated through all areas of their celebration. Enjoy this uber-romantic autumn wedding captured by Fraser Stewart below.

First thing's first, we have to talk about the bride's incredible wedding shoes. Hannah always wanted blue shoes for her wedding and she opted for the luxurious Valentina dark blue velvet heels by Silvia Lago with beautiful bows. So fabulous!

The couple is based in Down and sweetly they met on the first day of college. Hannah tells us, "We walked into town together, that was the beginning of our friendship. We became best friends who eventually fell in love & here we are, eleven years later, married!"

Their proposal took place against the breathtaking backdrop of The Alps. Hannah reminisces, "It was the final day of two weeks hiking the Tour de Mont Blanc in France. We celebrated with cake and tea in a local bakery before finishing the hike. After which we got a train to Annecy where two of our closest friends had flown out to celebrate with us. It was a perfect proposal."

The couple dreamt of a relaxed wedding with their closest friends and family and they opted for a small wedding with 45 guests. They wanted an exclusive-use and intimate venue that exuded rustic charm and elegance with beautiful grounds and exquisite food.

Hannah's timeless wedding dress with a ruched bodice was by Justin Alexander and she accessorised with a myriad of pretty pearl accessories including a pearl belt, pearl-edged veil, a pearl hair clip, and pearl earrings.

Hannah’s father Anthony created their floral displays brimming with charismatic brights and he customised each of the bridesmaid's bouquets to incorporate a different element of her bouquet. The stunning blooms were tied together with delicate blue ribbons.

Hannah and Connor tied the knot in the breathtaking surrounds of the orchard in a stunning sun-kissed ceremony. "The day could not have been more perfect," the bride says.

Two of their closest friends performed the music during their ceremony with one of their groomsmen Luke Webb playing the harp and Sarah Luttrell as the vocalist. Hannah chose a sentimental song for her processional, Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. "It has become a very special song to us throughout our relationship and it was beautifully performed by our friends."

Another unforgettable moment came as they signed the register in the tiny chapel in Cliff at Lyons with just their parents, celebrant and witnesses present. "It was really special to have that important moment happen in such a beautiful and quiet setting."

We adore their confetti bags!

Hannah's goddess glow beauty look was created by the immensely talented Laura Devides Makeup who specialises in effortlessly elegant bridal makeup.

As soon they arrived at Cliff At Lyons for their viewing they knew they had found 'the one'. "We cannot praise the wedding coordinator Aaron Clarke enough. He made our wedding feel so special from the moment we met him at the first viewing. We were in love with the venue when we arrived but Aaron definitely sealed the deal! We cannot thank the whole team at Cliff at Lyons enough for their care. The staff went above and beyond to help us in any way they could and make us feel at special."

Their photographer Fraser Stewart was an absolute dream! "He blended in seamlessly with our entire day. He was excellent at orchestrating little moments for us to have to ourselves so we could slow everything down and take it all in. He also managed to capture all these special moments in pictures which we can look back on and cherish."

Lush foliage flowed across the reception table with silver candelabras holding dark blue candles. "We liked the little touches of blue throughout the wedding; different shades, textures, fabrics but all tying into the blue theme," Hannah shares.

Hannah’s brother Senan designed and made all the stationery, from the invitations right through to the menus! Blue-purple lavender was dotted on the place settings tying into the stunning theme. Hannah’s brother Josh was also behind the camera capturing magical moments too.

Another of their dear friends Sam Earlwood provided live music for their reception.

They wanted a classy, elegant and timeless style for their wedding party. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous slate blue dresses by Babaroni which was offset exquisitely by the classic black tuxes for the groomsmen.

Don’t feel pressured into having a big wedding if it is not what you truly want, the bride says. "We both loved the idea of an intimate wedding and it was everything we dreamed it would be. We are so thankful for the support and understanding of our family and friends & that we had the wedding we always wanted."

Connor accessorised his timeless tux with a romantic boutonniere and an heirloom pocket watch.

Their wedding cake dappled with berries and flowers exuded refined autumnal romance.

Hannah added a fabulous leather jacket to her look at night by Niamh Designs which was customised with their wedding date on the back.

Their first dance was meant to be L.O.V.E. By Nat King Cole but it actually ended up by Good Life by One Republic. "We were getting some evening photos taken, when our reception began in full swing! Before we realised - or anyone else realised for that matter! - we were being introduced for our first dance which was Good Life. And it was perfect."

The couple celebrated their nuptials with a sun-kissed and sizzling honeymoon in Sardinia, Italy. "We would absolutely recommend it! The beaches are simply stunning - white sand and clear, blue water. We started in the north west of the island and travelled across to the south east to experience as much of the island as possible. We definitely recommend hiring a car if you intend to move around though, it is essential in Sardinia."

Congratulations Connor and Hannah! We adored diving into their special day, a huge thank you to our lovely couple and Fraser Stewart Photography for sharing this absolutely magical autumn wedding with One Fab Day!
