Mamma mia! Are you ready for an *enchanting* elopement? Today's US real wedding couple Colleen and Joseph jetted off to Italy for a cinematically stylish celebration of love. The Boston-based tied the knot in Turin where they started their day at the character-filled B&B, Look To Viphouse.
Joined by Patrizia Corbianco of Blancorazon Wedding, they got lost in the romantic city enjoying everything from a picture-perfect picnic to an Aperol Spritz pit-stop, impromptu chess games and catching the sun set. We know you'll love every single second, just as we did. Enjoy!

Colleen is from Baltimore and Joseph is originally from San Francisco and their love story started with a bang when they met 14 years ago. Colleen tells us, "I transferred J.Crews from the East Coast to Los Angeles. The manager opened the door and had me wait in the office to sign papers when: BAM! Joseph hit me with the (as it turns out) swinging door. We were friends and a 'will they/won’t they' story for a year. He asked me out on Christmas… I was busy (lol) so he tried again 3 days later."

Joseph popped the question with a unique and jaw-dropping engagement ring. "12 years into dating, he proposed to me around the same holiday magic, in front of the big Christmas tree in Los Angeles’ Union Station with a custom ring that resembles a snowflake."

The bride sewed her dazzling illusion wedding dress which boasted a blush tulle neckline and skirt adorned with floral lace appliques and pretty pearls. "I taught myself to sew in early 2024 in efforts to (ambitiously…) sew my own wedding pieces. My late mother was such a talented seamstress who sewed her own wedding dress and I wanted to honour that connection with her in our elopement. Special credit goes to my husband who was still hand-sewing the lace appliques onto my body as my hair and makeup was finishing!"

For the couple it was so important that they could have a laugh and be themselves. "There’s so much pressure put on wedding events and we definitely treated the Turin elopement as an escape for just us two."

Italy is an utterly dreamy spot for a destination wedding and Turin provides such a romantic backdrop for an elopement. The couple got ready in the sumptuous surrounds of Look To Viphouse which oozes quirky character from every nook and cranny.

They wanted to elope to Northern Italy and Colleen and Joseph knew they could put their full faith in their photographer to help bring their dream day to life. "Honest to God, we trusted our photographer. Patrizia is from Turin and we went with our gut when she suggested it! Having a native be the photographer was such a blessing - she knew all the best spots and it felt more like a friend showing us around than a big production somewhere we’ve never been."

"The day felt like we were in a dream," she say. "We were running around Italy in fancy outfits playing board games and drinking coffee. It was perfect and bizarre in the best way possible."

Colleen reveals that while she wrote her own vows she forgot them at the B&B. "Honestly, it was all for the best because Joseph’s vows were so good that all I could do was cry whenever I tried to say anything back to him."

Colleen added to the whimsical romance of her breathtaking bridal ensemble with her red pampas grass bouquet.

"We are an incredibly competitive couple. I swear the universe blessed our union," she adds and one of the sweetest highlights was when they stumbled across a giant chess board set up and hopscotch in the middle of their photoshoot.

The bride accessorised with Baudoin & Lange shoes, Chloé butterfly sunglasses, a floral hair comb by Lelet NY, earrings gifted to her by a friend, and an initial lock brass bracelet. The bracelet was made in Australia about 10 years ago and her husband wore his matching one too.

When it came to their aesthetic, they were inspired by the textures and beauty of Italian cities. "There's so much history and art and architecture so when designing my dress and picking hair and makeup styles, I just kept thinking: would this flow with the marble, with the stone floors, the dark rich colours, and the luxe fabrics."

Be sure to centre your wedding around you, Colleen says. "Of course, that’s easier said than done. Everyone has a million and one opinions but ultimately, it’s yours and when you look back, it’s a moment that should reflect who you are as a couple."

The continued the celebrations by travelling around Northern Italy. "It was the best opportunity to live in the moment while still soaking up the feelings from the elopement experience."

A very special thank you to Colleen, Joseph and Patrizia Corbianco of Blancorazon Wedding for sharing today's enchanting elopement with us.
