On a crisp winter day, Gráinne and Brian said yes to forever with an ultra-chic Dublin city celebration. Joined by 19 of their nearest and dearest, after exchanging vows they ventured to a number of the city's most stylish spots to celebrate with scrumptious cocktails at Farrier and Draper before their candlelit dinner reception in The Green Hen and then they danced the night away in the penthouse suite at The Dean. Photographed beautifully by Pawel Bebenca, this small wedding is mighty on the style front and is a stunning testament to writing your own rulebook for your special day.

Don't mind us we are just swooning so much over Gráinne's ultra-chic wedding wardrobe! Her slick wedding suit was by Hebe Studio, her gold metallic platforms were from River Island, her lustrous hairband was by Irish milliner Emily Jean Atelier and she wore bracelets and earrings borrowed from her sister Róisín.

Makeup artist Michelle Field and hair stylist Shauna Lawlor were behind her stunning beauty look which included a smoldering brown eyeshadow and textured waves. Gráinne reflects, "They were the nicest ladies ever and made the wedding morning – I've great memories! They are incredible at what they do!"

Hailing from County Wexford, Gráinne is from Adamstown and Brian is from Duncannon where they live today. The couple met through a mutual friend about 10 years ago as Gráinne worked with a girlfriend of Brian’s friend. "The phrase she used was, ‘If I was single myself….’, with that Gráinne made it her business to become friends with Brian and the rest is history."

Brian wore an elegant grey suit by Magee 1866 and he paid a beautiful homage to his late father by wearing his cufflinks. His accessories also included black brogues from Office and a Trendhim tie with a cockapoo motif which was a sweet nod to their dog Daphne.

The Dean penthouse suite was a perfect space to get ready on the wedding morning and the grooms party stopped off for a quick pint before heading to the church.

Their proposal story is bound to give you a chuckle. Brian popped the question in a room in Monart Hotel in Co. Wexford and he “hilariously” asked Gráinne if she would like to be buried with his people!

As for the hunt for their ceremony venue Gráinne says, "Long story, we wanted to get married in a beautiful historic building and had originally attempted to procure City Hall in Dublin, but it was booked out! Newman University Church was another option which turned out to be perfect for us and more importantly kept both mothers happy."

Flowers by Miley Cyrus was played on repeat while they were getting ready the bride reveals and they loved having Irish songs during the ceremony including Mó Ghrá Thú a Thiarna , Ag Críost and Síol and Danny Boy.

The bride added a gentle twist of rustic glamour to her wedding ensemble as she carried a bouquet of dried flowers.

Brian's sister Gráinne designed their stationery and one of his close friends had a sweet surprise for the newlyweds as they left the church. It was a large personalised sign reading ‘Congratulations Mr. And Mrs. Brian Kennedy’, with a beautifully heartfelt message on the back.

Walking from Newman University Church through St. Stephen’s Green to the first of their pit-stops Farrier and Draper was amongst the many highlights. "We enjoyed feeling like celebrities on the day," she says.

When it came to her bridal inspiration, Instagram was Gráinne's best friends as she pored over the looks of wedding bloggers. Irish presenter Laura Whitmore was also one of her muses, "Her wedding suit was amazing!"

They chose Farrier and Draper for the delectable cocktail menu and the private function room at The Green Hen had the perfect homely vibe for the reception dinner and the food was delicious.

"Having our families with us on the day was very special to us," Gráinne shares. Their photographer Pawel Bebenca was recommended to them by a recently married friend and when they saw examples of his work on Instagram they fell head over heels with his style. "We have great memories of him from our wedding day; he was so lovely to deal with, he put us at ease and blended into the background seamlessly capturing fantastic candid shots."

Their wedding advice is, "You are the honoured guests not the hosts. Enjoy every minute of the day and bask in the newly married happiness afterwards."

The newlyweds celebrated their honeymoon in stellar style by heading off to Japan.
