Don't say we didn't warn you, today's real wedding comes with jaw-dropping style. Based in Australia, Shauna and Fearghal wanted to celebrate their happiest day surrounded by their nearest and dearest at home in Ireland. With their reception at the enchanting Bellingham Castle in Co. Louth, modern romantic and steal-worthy accents abounded. Fashion lover Shauna planned a phenomenally stylish day with the help of Irish luxury bridal accessory designer Lori Muldoon.
The bridal style was s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g which saw sleek short wedding dresses by Chosen by Kyha paired with breathtaking pieces by Lori Muldoon. We know you'll adore the timeless ivory palette complemented with bursts of romantic rouge, the boldly beautiful bridal bouquet will take your breath away. Also featuring epic entertainment, a gorgeous photoshoot on the castle grounds, bridesmaids in snowy white, and much more - you're in for one dazzling ride. Every magic-laced moment was captured by Lucy’s Lens (along with her trusty sidekick Mia), let's dive in!

Shauna is from Armagh and Fearghal is from Tyrone and they live in Sydney. They tell us all about their love story, "We met over five years ago through a mutual friend at a dinner party. Our first date was at Coogee Pavilion, tucked between Covid lockdowns, and the rest is history!"

Fearghal popped the question while they were on a trip to New York to celebrate New Year's Eve in 2022. "Fearghal proposed during a frosty morning walk in Central Park, just as the city began to wake. We celebrated the day at The Peninsula Spa with champagne before ringing in the New Year at the Monarch rooftop overlooking Times Square."

Shauna's bridal look which exuded modern romance in every stitch was nothing short of breathtaking. The glowing bride wore a Chosen by Kyha off-the-shoulder mini dress with a romantic lace skirt by Lori Muldoon. Her veil, earrings and bag were also made by the luxury Irish designer.

The couple tied the knot at Church of the Sacred Heart in Kilmainhamwood, Co. Meath. A true highlight was when the bride's nephew accompanied the musicians to play Inis Oírr during the First Holy Communion. "It was such a proud and emotional moment for me to hear him perform. He’s only 11 years old, and his talent shines through in everything he does from playing musical instruments to midfield on the hurling and football pitches!"

Shauna's bridesmaids dresses were her something old! "They were redesigned by me and remade by Una Rodden, repurposing my sister’s bridesmaid dresses from her wedding in May 2022. I loved the fact that I was able to bring so many old and used pieces from both my sisters’ weddings and create my own spin on them. True fashion doesn’t have to be new or fancy—it’s about making something your own."

The bride's take-your-breath away bouquet included orchids, anthurium and red pampas. For her something “something borrowed” her bouquet wrap was tied together with a brooch from her late second mum.

The couple took full advantage of the hypnotic grounds for their wedding photoshoot with Mike of Vision & Vows capturing all the treasured moments for their wedding film. "I discovered Mike’s work online and was immediately blown away by how creative and unique it was compared to anything I’d seen at home. I reached out to him right away, and luckily, he was available. I didn’t look any further and booked him instantly! I loved his style—our wedding video isn’t just a recording of the day; it tells a story."

"We worked with an excellent videographer in Sydney who collaborated with Mike to capture footage of us along the beach where we live. Sydney is such a big part of our lives—it’s where we met and still live—so we wanted that to be included. Before Christmas, we met Mike in Doolin, Co. Clare, and stayed in a beautiful cottage he recommended. It overlooked the Irish Sea and had a cosy potbelly stove. From making Nana’s famous soda farls to drinking pints by the fire in one of Ireland’s oldest pubs, Mike captured it all. I’m so excited to see the final video—it’s sure to be magical and a true reflection of both our personalities."

It was the timeless charm and the glorious grounds at Bellingham Castle that sealed the deal for the couple. "My sister had got married there two years previous and it was the only wedding in Ireland that we’ve been to together and their experience was incredible, so we knew it was the right fit for us too. Ciara and the team honestly cannot do enough for you!"

As for their wedding priorities, "We wanted a day full of great vibes, amazing entertainment, and, of course, lots of craic. It was a day filled with laughter, love, and incredible music – the recipe for a perfect party!"

The bride discovered her wedding photographer, Lucy’s Lens, through a shoot she did with Lori Muldoon. "I instantly fell in love with her style and reached out via Instagram. She confirmed her availability, and we booked her straight away with Mia Mackin as the second shooter."

Getting the mealtime entertainment note-perfect was of the utmost importance and Shauna found the MC of her dreams in DJ Magiggs! "When I saw him in action, I was honestly ready to change the date of our wedding just to make sure we could book him! And when I came across our content creator Marc at Sneakpeek Creations I felt exactly the same. I actually tortured Marc with a few follow-up messages because I knew I loved his work. Hand on my heart, I don’t think anyone will ever get a better team of people. They are all incredible at what they do—so skilled and professional. They proved that a million times over, not just on the day of our wedding, but also in the lead-up and even afterward. They were all so easy to work with (although I’m not sure they’d say the same about Fearghal and me—we were very chilled and a bit last-minute with some things!)."

Shauna's love of fashion helped drive the aesthetic for their castle wedding. "It has always been a passion of mine. I’m very clear about my personal style and truly believe that confidence is the best accessory a girl can wear. When you find the right look, you wear the outfit – it doesn’t wear you."

Shauna was definitely the wife of the party as she changed into a tuxedo-style Chosen by Kyha dress which she styled with a handmade embellished neck scarf, a sparkling bag and heels all by Lori Muldoon.

"Take your time and don’t feel pressured to follow trends or expectations that don’t resonate with you," Shauna says - what wonderful wedding planning advice. "Plan a wedding that feels authentic to both of you. Be as organised for the day itself as possible and ensure you’ve shared your ideas and vision with your team—vendors, friends, and family—so everyone’s on the same page. Most importantly, enjoy every moment, including the build-up! It’s a celebration of your personalities, love, and connection surrounded by those who matter most. Add a little love, a lot of laughter, and a sprinkle of more love—you can’t go wrong."

They used their first dance song to celebrate their heritage, and they selected Unconditional by Picture This as their song. "I wanted an upbeat love song by an Irish band to represent our roots and set the tone for the celebration of our love. It was the perfect choice to start the night on a high note!"

The couple jetted back to Australia on New Year's Day. "Fearghal was eager to get back to work (and no, I’m not joking, even though I wish I were!)." Their honeymoon plans included a five-night stay in the Hayman Islands and a two-week adventure in Thailand.

A huge congratulations Shauna and Fearghal on your divine day! A very special thank you to Lucy’s Lens, and second shooter Mia Mackin, for sharing today's magical Bellingham Castle wedding with One Fab Day!
